What: Portland and Seattle will renew its I-5 rivalry in a 3BA showdown on Friday, July 18 at 7p in the Rose Garden.

The full court 3-on-3 professional game, created by a Seattle native, features aspiring professional and top former college players. The rules of the 3BA game place significant emphasis on Speed, Stamina and Skills.

Lamar Hurd, a former Oregon State University star, has been chosen to lead the Portland entry in the debut event for the 3BA Summer Tour. Lamar is a true point guard with great floor vision and will be one of the most exciting players to watch in the new 3BA game.

Former Oregon State University stars, JS Nash and David Lucas, will join Lamar Hurd to lead the Portland entry in the debut event for the 3BA Summer Tour. The OSU dominated Portland team is sure to give loyal Portland fans something to cheer about as they debut this exciting new concept.

Shawn Kemp and Jasen Thomas of Seattle have agreed to assemble a team and share coaching duties for a Seattle 3BA entry expected to give the Portland entry a serious run in the debut 3BA event. For Seattle fans it could not come at a better time as local basketball fans mourn the loss of their beloved Sonics.

Quick Rules: Playing surface is 72‘ long and 50’ wide.

Game is played over four eleven minute quarters.

Game uses 18-second shot clocks.

22’ three point line: All offensive players must be in the frontcourt for any three-point shot to be officially scored. When a three point shot is taken prior to all three players crossing the Mid-court line, if made, it shall be counted as two-point goal and/or if missed the ball shall be a live ball.

Backcourt violation: Once a team scores, the opposing team must inbound the ball in the backcourt. The ball must than be touched by an offensive or defensive player before it can advance to the frontcourt. 5-second advancement to midcourt.

Rose Quarter
